Bitter
Sweet
Barn
was
born
out
of
necessity.
I like to
collect and I
needed a
rational
reason to keep
collecting old
furniture and
unique
items. I
refinish
pieces for the
shop
-
vintage trunks
and old chairs
which I
re-weave with
Shaker
tape. I
call it
"giving back
their dignity"
to old
pieces.
The
shop has grown
over the years
to accommodate
people with
discerning
tastes. There
is something
here that fits
everyone's
price range.
I also will
work with
people to
achieve a
desired look,
many times
with items
they already
have.
If I
don't have a
certain item,
I take
pleasure in
trying to help
you locate it
in another
shop, or will
special-order
it for you.
I
think people
enjoy coming
to my shop
because it is
unique, set in
an old 1700's
barn.
The atmosphere
is casual, but
is also like a
gallery.
Some
say a petting
zoo, because I
have 3 dogs
who work at
entertaining
the guests
that stop
here.
The people
that stop by
and those who
shop on a
regular basis
seem to enjoy
the
experience,
because it's
never the
same.
I extend an
open welcome
to those who
would like to
experience it
for
themselves.
